How to Polish a Car 

The best way to polish a car is to follow the proper process and prep, prep, prep! We have broken it down into steps: 

Prep
Prep your vehicle by rinsing it down to remove loose debris, and apply pre-wash all over the car and rinse to loosen and dissolve dirt. Next, begin cleaning your wheels and apply snow foam and rinse to remove any stubborn contaminants. Next, use a pH-neutral car shampoo and a good-quality wash mitt to wash your car. Use a pressure washer or hose to rinse off the shampoo. Move on to the decontamination stage to remove tar spots and iron contaminants. Dry with a microfibre towel. 

Apply the Polish
After you have finished your prep, you can move on to the polishing stage. Firstly, choose whether you will hand polish or use a machine polisher. If you decide to hand polish, use a microfibre towel or pad, apply a small amount and gently spread it across the paintwork. Use circular motions and overlapping strokes rather than scrubbing. We recommend working in small, manageable areas to allow the polish to do the work. If you’d prefer to use a machine polisher, start at a low-speed setting and gradually increase as needed. 

Buff The Polish
You want to ensure you buff off the excess polish by using another microfibre towel to remove it. You can do this by applying medium pressure in circular motions. After this, check for any lingering polish or imperfections. 

Apply Wax
After polishing, consider using a wax or sealant to apply another layer of added protection and shine.
