How To Decon a Car

The best way to decontaminate a car is to follow the proper process and perform the correct techniques. It’s so important to prep before decontaminating, therefore, we have broken it down into steps: 

1. Preparation & Pre-Wash
   Thoroughly rinse the vehicle to remove any loose debris before applying snow foam to loosen and dissolve dirt and grime. This helps prep the car before the main wash. We recommend using a pre-wash to remove any stubborn contaminants and then moving on to cleaning your wheels.
   
   
2. Wash & Dry
   Use a pH-neutral car shampoo and a good-quality wash mitt to wash your car. We recommend a Decon Shampoo, which offers a deep clean without leaving any gloss or wax behind. Rinse your mitt regularly to prevent dirt particles from building up. Use a pressure washer or hose to rinse off the shampoo and dry with a microfibre towel.
   
3. Decontamination 
   Begin the decontamination stage by removing tar spots using a solvent cleaner. This cleaner dissolves sticky residues without damaging the paintwork. Spray Just The Tonic directly onto the wet paintwork, allow to dwell (not dry), then wipe over with a microfibre cloth, then rinse. After this, we recommend a decontamination wash using Purple Fallout, which will help lift ingrained iron contaminants. If any contaminants are left, the final stage involves manually pulling them out using a clay bar treatment. We have a fine grade or heavy grade available, depending on the severity of the remaining contaminants.
   
   
4. Polish, Protect & Finish
   Now that all your contaminants have been removed, ensure you lock in your results with a polish, wax, and sealant.
